We’ve put together our
10 TIPS ON HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS
MAKE A PLAN
If you have a goal no matter how big or small it always helps to make a plan. This is a great way to give yourself a timeline and schedule. By writing it down and putting together a step by step process it allows you to see what you are going to do and when. The plan doesn’t have to be super detailed, just enough to get you started and as you work your way through your plan you can always amend and add to it.
Once you have made a list of your goals break them down into smaller goals so that they are manageable and make your journey a lot simpler. For instance we like create weekly goals of what we want to accomplish that week.
USE A HABIT TRACKER
We love our habit tracker and we have found that it’s really valuable whilst trying to achieve our goals. It allows us to see our progress and recognise where we can make changes and improvements. Tracking your habits daily allows you to stay on top of things and it is also a great way to create consistency. Its also great for motivation as it allows you to check and analyse your progress. Get your FREE Habit Tracker here.
Being consistent is key so, try your best to stay on top of your plan. If you find yourself struggling, use the 5-minute rule, which is simply giving yourself 5 minutes to work on something and see how far you go and if you don’t want to carry on you stop and try again later.
DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF
Always know that you are doing your best, so if something doesn’t work out as planned don’t be hard on yourself. Which leads us to our next point.
TAKE A BREAK AND LEARN TO REST
We all have days when we don’t feel great and we just don’t want to do anything. We want you to know that it’s okay, like we said don’t be hard on yourself. Listen your mind and your body and take a break. Take some time for yourself, do something that lifts you up and makes you happy and then when you are ready get back on track.
INDULGE IN BOOKS, VIDEOS, AUDIOS, APPS ETC
Knowledge is one of the most powerful gifts you can own. We now live in a world where any information and tools can be accessed so easily. With our own experience we have found indulging in many books, audios and videos have really been useful in helping us to develop skills and knowledge to achieve our goals.
Motivational tools are a powerful resource in inspiring you when things become challenging. They remind you why you are putting in the hard work and why you are doing what you are doing. Find our top motivational tips here.
“Life is a journey and not a destination” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. We love this quote and we believe in making the journey fun and exciting, so smile often, have fun and enjoy the process. Make your journey exciting, find new ways to learn, make your working environment enjoyable, make a task into a game and use this opportunity to get creative, have fun and keep things exciting.
Finally always reward yourself, no matter how big or small the achievement. Write your reward into your plan and this way you will have something exciting to work towards. It’s a great way to celebrate reaching a milestone in your journey, so be proud of yourself and your achievement. Rewarding your milestones is great for your moral and overall well-being.
