MAKE A PLAN
If you have a goal no matter how big or small it always helps to make a plan. This is a great way to give yourself a timeline and schedule. By writing it down and putting together a step by step process it allows you to see what you are going to do and when. The plan doesn’t have to be super detailed, just enough to get you started and as you work your way through your plan you can always amend and add to it.
To make your goals manageable, break them down into smaller goals. This will make your process a lot simpler. An example of this is to create weekly goals.
USE A HABIT TRACKER
We love our habit tracker and we have found that it’s really valuable whilst trying to achieve our goals. It allows us to see our progress and recognise where we can make changes and improvements. Try your best to stay on top of your plan as being consistent is key to achieving your goals If you find yourself struggling, use the 5-minute rule, which is simply giving yourself 5 minutes to work on something and see how far you go. If you don’t want to continue, it’s okay. Just stop and try again later.
DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF
It’s natural to feel stressed and overwhelmed. As working on your goals is a journey and a learning experience, where you can encounter many obstacles and emotions. You must be always kind to yourself and learn to recognise that you are doing your best. Which leads us to our next point.
TAKE A BREAK AND LEARN TO REST
We all have days when we don’t feel great and we just don’t want to do anything. We want you to know that it’s okay like we said don’t be hard on yourself. Listen to your mind and your body and take a break. Take some time for yourself, do something that lifts you up and makes you happy and then when you are ready, always continue with your goals.
INDULGE IN BOOKS, VIDEOS, AUDIOS, APPS ETC
Knowledge is one of the most powerful gifts you can own. Access to learning materials is free and unlimited. Whether it’s through books, online, television, mentors to name a few, you can learn a multitude of new skills and gain a substantial amount of knowledge. Indulging in many books, audios and videos have really been valuable in helping us to develop skills and knowledge.
